Time for New Releases..once again!

March is the time where Autodesk introduces their software versions globally. It excites most but bothers a few  end-users at some point...

Based on some claims of  actual end-users I've come across with, they would claim that Autodesk releases new versions quite fast compared to other softwares. Everytime I get this comment from our clients, I just simply reply "you" asked for it, that's why. New features of every Autodesk softwares were actually based on end-users' "wish-list" globally... I sometimes wink whenever I deliver this line to my clients... :)

Going back to March as Autodesk season of new releases, I've come across this Autodesk Virtual Event which will happen on 29 March, 9am Pacific Time. For us in the Eastern part of the globe, we may have to adjust our body clocks to be able to attend. If I'm not mistaken, it would be 29 Mar 11pm or 12mn of 30th Mar ( kindly check your local time).

You can choose which session to attend to depending on your interests or industries. Here's a link to register:

I have already registered! Hopefully my Matteo has already gone to sleep by the time the virtual event starts.

Infrastructure Stuffs are Alive in the Lab!

It's been awhile... I have been preoccupied by 'mommy' stuffs for the last few months and my Matteo has gone so big. He's turning 8 months this Sunday (18 Mar).

There's been so much updates with Civil 3D 2012 that I didn't get a chance to concentrate much on it. In a few months time, even weeks maybe, 2013 releases of Autodesk softwares will be out and I haven't even mastered the 2012 new features yet. Time just flies so fast, that I didn't even get to notice the experiments inside the Autodesk Labs. Here are some of the Civil 3D baby stuffs I found from the Lab:

1.  Bridge Modeler - creates bridges in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 (valid until 1 July 2012)
2. Corridor Solids - generates solids from real-world civil objects (valid 'ti1 Aug 2012)
3. Interactive Terrain Shaping - allows shaping terrains interactively ( valid 'til 31 Aut 2012)

I'm currently testing these stuffs and hopefully will have time to post some reviews for it. Let me know if some of you have tried it. Send me a note. Happy previewing!!
